God Loves You!
· God Loves You! Have you ever had a time when you felt like you wanted someone to take care of everything? You may be feeling the pressure of the economic downturn or feel the weight of the responsibility of everyday life in your family. I believe God desperately wants to shower our lives with his grace. God loves you! The problem is we don’t always take the opportunity to allow God to pour into us.
One of the purposes for Laity Lodge Family Camp is to take away all the everyday stresses of life and pour love into families. One example of this was during the last Family Camp over Valentine’s Day weekend where parents received the most amazing candlelight dinner and game night while their kids had a fun dinner and movie. Then we all gathered for laughter and song at Roundup. This is what Regina Gordon, a mother of one of the families, said about the weekend.
“LLFC was AMAZING! I was so overwhelmingly blessed by the staff and the organization of activities, yet it was such a relaxed atmosphere. I was especially blessed by the ladies who were there to help with the little ones and allowed me to have some time for hiking! The food was out of this world and the Valentine’s evening was just over-the-top wonderful!!! Honestly, I can’t think of a better time our family has had! We love to go camping and always have fun, but it’s also a tremendous amount of work, and I end up exhausted. This was definitely relaxing and even restful. The kids had a blast with all of the activities! Truly, it was such a wonderful experience. We came away refreshed and energized as a family!
